When added to the total immigrants in the country, there are around 50 million working and living immigrants in the United States, making it the highest record accounted in the history.

Fact 2: Mexicans aren’t the Majority Anymore

Since Mexico is near the border of United States, especially Los Angeles, it’s no wonder why a lot of these illegal immigrants came from this country. However, a recent statistic mentions that there are about 5.6 million Mexicans since 2016 and are declining since. Now, a number of illegal immigrants from other places rise including central America and Asia.

Fact 3: There are 8 Million Illegal Immigrants in the Country’s Workforce

Most often, these illegal immigrants are usually in the United States because of work. Although there was decrease last 2009, their number remains the same up until now. While the majority are working, the rest of them are either searching for work or simply just living in the states. Even if they take a huge chunk of the total workforce in the states, the U.S. citizens outnumber them in terms of occupations in all industries; however, they take over the farming and construction divisions.

Fact 4: Not all States in America has a Problem with Illegal Immigration

While every state has an illegal immigration problem, not all of them face an intense dilemma such as that of California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. These states have the highest rates of illegal immigration and they account for 59% of these unauthorized residents.

Fact 5: Some Immigrants Have Stayed in the U.S. for over a Decade

A study from 2014 indicated that 66% of these illegal immigrants are staying in the United States for a decade. If not, a lot of them for over 5 years. In reality, several of these people have already made a living and families in the states just like the rest of the citizens of the United States.

While the facts are taken from recent studies and statistics, it’s possible that there are more undocumented illegal immigrants staying the in the states. Thus, it’s essential that legal actions should be made in order to eliminate their illegal statuses so that they can live a peaceful and comfortable life in the United States.
